About Me

Poet and prose writer

Per Alice Walker, "Poetry is the lifelblood of rebellion..."

Lois Wetzell is a fourth generation San Diegan and has absorbed some indigenous sensibilities of her geography.  Spending most of her adult life in the arts and as a Special Educator, she has internalized the drive to rebel, especially in 2025's political climate. Writing poetry, historical fiction, and memoir has afforded her the opportunity to use her passion to not only make sense of the world, but to help others see the value of nature and challenging the status quo.
